Why Stockpile?

These are the phrases I usually get form people on stockpiling. "Why stockpile?" "My family would never need that much.". "You must have a lot of money invested in a stockpile".

Here is my answer to clarify why we  couponers stockpile. Most of us any way. With anything there does come an addiction and I could see some people stockpiling way more than they would use in a reasonable time.

When you get a really good deal on something you want stocking up on it is a good idea. You usually want to stock enough to get you through to the next time that will go on sale again. That way you should never have to pay full price on anything you buy for your food or toiletries needs.

You will notice a pattern to the sales and the coupons that come out. Then you will get an idea of how much to buy to get you to that next sale. I am still learning that pattern. I have found certain coupons always come out. As soon as they expire, the next Sunday another one comes out just like that one. So some brands I use I will always have a coupon for.

 There will be a "Stockpile Price". Saving anything is good. Having said that I will say saving about .25 on something would not make me stockpile. I would need to pay 80% less to free before I will consider that a "Stockpile Price". If it is the price I consider "Stockpile Price" then I will buy multiples of that item. You will find the prices you are willing to buy multiples with. There are some items that you will not get free and others you will see for free often. Mostly I see toothpaste, toothbrushes and feminine pads free a lot. If you have enough coupons to build a stockpile with those items it will save you a lot of money.

Print Your End Of The Month Coupons 9/30

The end of the month is here again. Time to print of those coupons before they are gone. The printable sights reset their coupons at the beginning of the month.

Not all coupons will disappear. I haven't figured out that pattern yet. I usually just print off any coupons that I'm interested just in case.

Trying To Get This Email Thing Right

I have been a little disappointed with the email updates to this blog. I need to figure out when my posts will get to you. It seems that my posts get emailed out the day after I post them. That is a bit discouraging because I post about things as soon as I can. Sometimes if you get them a day late the things I have posted about may already be out dated. I apologize for this. Please bear with me as I try to figure this out. I do work a full time job plus my shops on Etsy. It may take me a little bit ti get this ironed out.

Daily Deal At Shaws 9/27 Ragu Pasta Sauce .88

This is the last day for those daily deals.

 I do hope they do them again. Remember if you can't get to a Shaws you can always price match at Wal-Mart. There will also be no limit at Wal-Mart to how many of each item you can get. You just need to tell the cashier you want to price match Shaws and tell them the price. This has been done at both the Waterville and Skowhegan Wal-Marts. I'm sure others will do it also. You just need to check your local store.

Shaws Add Scan For 9/28 - 10/4

Here is a chance to check the sales at Shaws starting this Friday 9/28 - 10/4. You can check your coupon stash to do match ups ahead of time. I do like to plan my trips early. I see a few 10 for $10 deals. I hope I have coupons for a few to make them even better.

When you have a 10 for $10 you do not need to buy 10 to get them for $1 each. You can buy as much or as little as you want and they will still be $1 each.The only time you would need to buy an amount listed for a sale price is if it says "Must buy" before the quantity. Example:  Pepsi 20pks. 4 for $10 (must buy4). In that case if you did not buy 4 you would not get the sale price.

Pepsi 2 Liter Bottles For $1 AT Wal-Mart With Price Match

I did my first price match yesterday at the Waterville Wal-Mart. I told the cashier that I wanted to price match Shaws for the soda. Price was 4 for $4. I got 3 Pepsi and 1 diet Pepsi. She did ask to see the flier. I didn't have the flier on me. I did have my add scan from this blog on my phone. I zoomed it in so she could see the price then scrolled down so she could see the dates of the sale. So instead of paying $1.32 Wal-Mart price per 2 liter. I paid Shaws price of $1 per 2 liter. I think I will be price matching more often.
