Rite aid has changed how they will give you your up rewards. Starting this Sunday September 2, 2012 they will no longer be printing out on the bottom of your receipt. They will instead be loaded to your card. I will try to explain that here to you. If you are unsure how it works after reading this you can ask someone at your local Rite Aid for the details.
When you buy something that has Up rewards the rewards will
be added to your Rite Aid card. You can check those rewards online here.
You will not be able to use those Up rewards until the next day after 6 am. For
those of us that like to do separate transactions and use the Up rewards in
those other transactions it will be a little more difficult. We can still do
it. We just can’t do it in the same trip. We will have to do the transactions
over several days.
You can opt out of the load to card and go back to your rewards being printed. You will still not be able to use them until the next day after 6 am. You can opt out at the register or call 1-800-riteaid (1-800-748-3243) to opt out.
This will be a
learning curve for all of us. Please be patient with the cashiers. It is not
their fault the system has changed. It came from higher up. They are learning
this too.
Thank you I heart Rite Aid for the heads up about this new system.
These are the directions for the register person if they don't know how to opt you out.
