Shaws shopping trip 8/27 I saved 95%

*You need a Shaws card for all Shaws deals*

*If you have trouble with the coupon language please go here.

*Some of these deals involve using Saving Star. If you want to know more about Saving Star go here.

*To learn how the GM sale works and to see items included in the GM sale go here.

Here is what I bought.

Used (2) .50/1 coupons (doubled to .99 the regular price)

Bill was $24.72
I paid $2.55 but will be getting $1.25 back from Saving Star.

Final price $1.30 or .13 each!!!

Remember if Shaws is out of something you want ask for a rain check. You can get the item at a later date at the sale price it was at the time of the rain check. A rain check at shaws does not mean you have to buy it. They do not hold it for you. You have to check the shelf the next time you shop. If they have it you can use your rain check to get it for the sale price it was. Remember though if your coupon is expired before you find it you cannot use your coupon to reduce the price. So sometimes (on rare occasions) I have to pass up a deal because it is in stock and I have the rain check but my coupon is expired.

Note: at Shaws when they double the coupons it is only 4 like (same bar code) coupons per visit. So if you have (5) .75 off 1 box of cheerios coupons and 5 boxes of cheerios only 4 of those coupons will double to$1.50 unless at least one has a different bar code on it. Usually you get different bar codes if the coupons came from different coupon sites. Printing from different computers doesn't give you different bar codes.

***UPDATE*** Money Maker....Crest Pro Health mouthwash at Rite Aid starting 8/26

I did this deal at my Rite Aid and it worked. It was a MM!!! I also got lucky and got both mine with a free mouthwash atatched. More for free...who doesn't love that. Hurry if you have the B1G1 coupon. that coupon expires 8/30. You can still do the deal with the coupon form 8/26. For that deal see scenario #2

Here is a picture of the deal I got using scenario #1

*You will need a Rite Aid card for all Rite Aid deals*
Here is the deal at Rite Aid  8/26 - 9/1
Buy 1 Crest Pro health mouthwash 473ml - 1 liter for $4.99 and get $4 up reward (limit 2)

Here is scenario #1

if you have the buy one get one free coupon fro the last P&G insert. I can't remember the date.
Warning:This deal may not work with a rain check. Because your coupon could expire before you get to use it. If you get a rain check be prepared to do scenario #2 which is still a good deal.
Buy (2) crest pro health mouthwash at $4.99 each + tax
Total  $9.98 + .50 tax
Use the B1G1 coupon from P&G (expires 8/30)
Pay $4.99 +.50 tax =$5.49 OOP
Get (2) $4.00 up rewards
Final total is $2.51 MM!!!!!

Here is scenario #2

If you do not have the old coupon you can do this deal. It will mot be a money maker but it is a really good price for mouth wash. This one will be done in 2 transactions.
Transaction #1
Buy (1) crest mouthwash at $4.99 + tax
Use (1) .50/1 coupon from the 8/26 P&G (exp. 9/30)
Pay $4.29 + .25 tax  = $4.74
Get a $4 up reward
Transaction #2
Buy (1) crest mouthwash at $4.99 + tax
Use (1) .50/1 coupon from the 8/26 P&G (exp. 9/30)
use $4 up from transaction #1
Pay .29 + .25 tax  = 74
Get a $4 up reward

Final price is .74 each for mouthwash. Great price!!

Tip when you figure out the final cost you can subtract the ups you get today from what you paid. Or you can just go with your OOP at each visit. Remember whatever you do do not do it both ways. Example I would subtract it from this trip making my final cost .30 for 2 pkgs. pads. The $1.00 up I leave with and use next time I shop there I will not subtract from my cost that day because I already counted it here. It will just give me less OOP next time.
Remember those rain checks for these if they are out of them. I love rain checks at Rite Aid. They will call you when your item is in. They will hold it for you to come pick up. If you change your mind you don't have to buy it. If it comes in after the sale is over then it is still the same price. The only difference is if the sale is over they will subtract your up rewards you would've gotten from the price before you pay. So these items would just be tax and no other OOP (out of pocket) cost to you.

All my coupons are printed and ready for Shaws

I think I am finally ready to sit and plan my shopping trip to Shaws. It took me a couple hours to print and cut all my coupons. I used 2 computers. I will be printing a few more from Wayne's laptop tomorrow but other than that I'm all set.

I just have to get the list done up. Putting the GM items in quantities of 10 so I can get the sale price. Learn more about the GM sale here. Then making sure no more than 4 coupons for the same product have the same bar codes. Because they only double 4 like (same bar code) coupons per transaction. I usually will put things in my car and go back in if I need to so I can get extra deals if I have coupons that won't double. I will not make 2 trips to Shaws. I live too far away for that. Lately I have been lucky and Wayne will do the shopping for me. It is close to his work.

I think I will plan that trip tomorrow. I'm going to get some sleep. I have been up way too late these last couple nights. I do go back to work this Monday. Summer is over and school begins again.

*You need a Shaws card for all Shaws deals*

That makes a total of 4 prints per computer

Thank you Tina and Deals by Darlene for the heads up.

Printing Note: I have not had good luck with coupons printing from my Internet Explorer browser. I always use Fire Fox. If you want to download it for yourself it is free at firefox.com  If you select a coupon and print it and it doesn't print out they will still count it as printing. I suggest that you test out first by printing a coupon you may not want your first time. After that just make sure you have ink, paper and that your printer is on every time after that. Before you click the print button.

Free Stayfree Maxi pads at Rite Aid starting 8/26 - 9/1 with coupon from 8/26 Sunday paper

Looks like more free StayFree maxi pads at Rite Aid starting 8/26 - 9/1 with a coupon from this Sundays paper (8/26) and Rite Aid up rewards. These pads go on sale so often you should never pay full price again. They go on sale for .50 to Free (after up rewards, coupons, and not counting tax) a lot at Rite Aid.  So far I have 9 pkgs. sitting on my shelf. And I was able to get my sister 6. One of the reasons Rite Aid has become one of my favorites. I never shopped there before coupons.

*You will need a Rite Aid card for all Rite Aid deals*

Here is the deal:
Buy (1) Stayfree Maxi pads 14 - 24 ct. $3.00
Use (1) $2.00 From SS 8/26 (exp. 10/15)
You can use $1.00 up reward from a previous trip to Rite Aid if you have it.
Pay $1.00 + .15 tax
Get $1.00 up reward
Final price Free just tax

Here is the scenario I usually do.

Purchase #1
 Buy (1) Stayfree Maxi pads 14 - 24 ct. $3.00
Use (1) $2.00 From SS 8/26 (exp. 10/15)
Pay $1.00 + .15 tax
Get $1.00 up reward

Purchase #2
Buy (1) Stayfree Maxi pads 14 - 24 ct. $3.00
Use (1) $2.00 From SS 8/26 (exp. 10/15)
Use $1.00 up reward from transaction #1
Pay .15 tax
Get $1.00 up reward

Total OOP $1.30 and you have $1.00 up reward to use again.

I usually do the second transaction the same day. There was some rumors that the rewards will start to be loaded onto your cards instead of printed out.Starting in Sept. And that you will not be able to use them until the next day. I have not checked this rumor out with my local Rite Aid yet.
