Organization

Soon to come on this page....how I organize my coupons. With instructions and photos. This is just a suggestion. It is how I organize the coupons I have clipped. I have found that you can only hold about 7 like coupons per card pocket. If you collect more than 5 papers then you should put the rest in an accordion file by date to find later if you need them. I also use a cloth bag to carry the binder in because it is bulky and awkward. I find that it has also helped in keeping the binder in like new condition. I don't think it will wear out as fast on me that way.

 My Binder

I started with a 2"  3 ring binder, tab divider pages with pockets, 8 1/2 x 11 single page inserts and baseball card insert pages.

The very front insets are where I keep all my coupon policies. Each store has there own page. You can find some store policies here.

This first pocket divider starts my first section. I also use it to put coupons for my planned shopping trips. I paper clip them together by store.

Coupon sections

Section 1 "Breakfast/Snacks"
This section now has a small tab dividing the breakfast and snacks to make it easier to find while shopping.

 Here is where I keep all breakfast items unless frozen. 

Snack items like fruit snacks, chips, crackers, candy, granola bars etc...

Section 2  "Dairy/Baking"

This section now has a small tab dividing the dairy and baking to make it easier to find while shopping.

Dairy: this is where I put all the cheese, yogurt, eggs, butter etc..

Baking this is where I put all the oil, sugar, pan spray, frosting, cake mix, brownie mix etc...

Section 3 "Rice/Pasta/Bread"
This section now has a small tab dividing the Pasta/Rice/Potato and bread to make it easier to find while shopping.

Section 4 " Frozen/Drinks"
This section now has a small tab dividing the frozen and drinks to make it easier to find while shopping.

Section 5 "Canned/Meat"
This section now has a small tab dividing the canned and meat to make it easier to find while shopping.

Section 6 "Condiments"
This is where I keep all the regular condiments also peanut butter, jelly, salsa, dip, chocolate sauce and sundae toppings.

Section 7 "Hygiene/Beauty"
This section now has a small tabs dividing into these sections (" deodorant/shave" , "Lotion/Teeth" , "Face cleanser/Body wash" , "Make up/Hair") to make it easier to find while shopping.

Section 8 "Paper/Cleaners"

I put things like air fresheners in the cleaning section. I also put toilet paper in the paper section.
This section now has a small tab dividing the paper and cleaners to make it easier to find while shopping.

Section 9 "Medicine/First Aid"

This section now has a small tab dividing the medicine and first aid to make it easier to find while shopping.

Section 10 "Misc./Pet"
This section now has a small tab dividing the misc., baby and pet to make it easier to find while shopping.
